My recent work includes three new compositions, and new editions of two of my signature compositions. Grazing Cows, Springtime Poppies and Looking North Across the St. Lawrence River are new compositions. Cows is my latest autumn landscape. Poppies is the newest edition in the Springtime series of paintings. Looking North captures the stunning view across the river to Canada from my new home in Northern New York.

Utah Sunrise captures the beauty of early morning in Eastern Utah's Manti La Sal National Forest. The Gathering is technically a new composition in the series depicting rich landscapes and our avian friends who inhabit them.

Quote of the Day
"...Death is part of life; there is nothing strange about it; sooner or later we all have to pass through that gate. At that time, whether or not there is a after life, it is very valuable to have peace of mind. How can we achieve peace of mind at such a moment? It is possible only if we have some experience of ourselves that will provide inner strength, because no one can provide this for us--no deities, no gurus, and no friends. This is why the Buddha says you must be your own master." --His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Quotes of the Day
"When you become good at the art of letting sufferings go, then you'll come to realize what you were dragging around with you. And for that, no one else other than you was responsible." --Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

"Bitterness is a poison that snuffs out the light of our souls, hardening us to life's pleasures and joys by keeping us focused only on what is wrong... I'm determined not to sink into bitterness again. While there are plenty of things in life to be justifiably annoyed, angry, or hurt at, that doesn't mean that I should completely ignore all this is beautiful, good, and touching. I want my soul to shine with an overflowing of love, and practicing gratitude is one of the best ways I know to do it.

Gratitude is an inner light that we can use to illumine our souls. The more we are thankful, the more light we experience and the more we shine forth into the world." --M.J. Ryan
