I've devoted most of the past week to painting these pieces, as well as working on commissions. These paintings are all new editions from many of my popular compositions. The Autumn paintings are inspired by the coming change of season, to which I look forward with great anticipation.

Today's my last day of vacation, a travel day--so not really vacation per se, but the journey is really part of the whole experience. It was great to see my family back in New York. School starts at the end of this week, so my kids will be back into their academic routine in no time. My baby starts high school this year!

I have several commissions that came in while I was away, and a some that were already in the queue when I left! Thank you, as always, to my patrons!

Today's work includes the newest edition in the Abstract Spring Floral series, and a new composition Prairie and Pond in Late Summer. The Floral painting is the newest in my decorative line of paintings, and the Prairie painting is my effort to capture the essence of the wide open spaces that I enjoy.

Today's work includes two new editions in the Summer Aspens and Abstract Poppies series. The previous editions of these paintings sold, so I thought I would go with a good thing and paint new editions in each series. Today's painting was inspired by photos from last summer near Belleview, CO. We had our first spring rain last night, and the landscape will hopefully start to green up soon. Yesterday was warm and sunny. Today is cooler and windy. Typical Colorado springtime weather. I love it!
