Today's painting is the latest in my popular Autumn Path series. This line is one of my signature compositions, and has a big following among my patrons.

I spent part of my morning on Monday rounding up a little of feral kittens that live under the house next door for spay and neuter. Ferals often have a short and brutal life in the elements and trying to find adequate food. A reminder to all: please spay and neuter your pets!

A patron who's bought several of my paintings asked me to paint a portrait of her three Persian cats. This piece was a lot of fun to paint, and the original photos of the kitties were darling! What characters they must be!

I've mentioned before on the FAB that my family fosters animals from the Table Mountain Animal Center (TMAC). These are photos of our latest foster: Rosie the Miniature Pinscher (Minpin). Rosie is a 3-month old puppy who was picked up as a stray with a broken leg. Her cast is almost as big as she is! AWWWW!! Also depicted are my lovely daughter Hannah and one of the kittens we're also currently fostering. You may visit the TMAC web site at www.tablemountainanimals.org.

Spay and Neuter Your Pets!

I'd like to take this opportunity to implore everyone to spay and neuter their pets. As many people know there are literally thousands of cats, dogs, and other animals surrendered at animal shelters every year--most of whom are put down because of ill health, a lack of space, and the resources to care for them.

My family and I do volunteer work at the Table Mountain Animal Center in Golden, CO to try and do our part for the animals there. TMAC is a non-profit shelter that provides services to stray, abandoned, and otherwise unfortunate animals in need in northern Jefferson County, CO. We foster cats and dogs to help them acclimate to living with humans prior to their being adopted.

Please take care of your animals by not allowing them to reproduce in a world that is already severely overpopulated with unwanted domestic animals. I also encourage each of you to seek out and support your local animal shelter in any way you can--be it monetary, or the gift of your time.
